Description

A large group learns about women's history. At this stop they enjoy a large mural designed and executed by Toronto artist, Adrian Hayles, on the musical history of Yonge Street. Iconic venues and legendary musicians are depicted including Salome Bey, Carol Pope and Cathy Young. Located at the McGill Granby Parkette, here they also learn about the Margaret Eaton School, formerly at 415 Yonge Street, which by 1926, had became Canada’s first specialized physical education school for women.
